Recommended plugins/apps to help manage your publication

We strongly recommend you set up 1-4:

  1. User Switching Let's you test subscription access as if you were a subscriber
  2. WP Mail Logging by MailPoet Know which emails your WordPress site sends for troubleshooting purposes. Here's a great setup doc
  3. Ensure your welcome and password emails are actually being delivered (free version)
  4. Install our reCAPTCHA addon to prevent spam registrations
  5. WP MailFrom II This plugin allows you to set the email address and name used for emails sent by WordPress by setting the From: header
  6. Email Templates Send beautiful emails with the WordPress Email Templates plugin. This is great for your welcome and reminder emails
  7. User Menus – Nav Menu Visibility The plugin gives you more control over your nav menu by allowing you to apply visibility controls to menu items e.g who can see each menu item (everyone, logged in users, etc). Ex: A logged in subscriber can see their 'My Account' page menu item where a new visitor would see 'Subscribe'
  8. FileBird – WordPress Media Library Folders Organize thousands of WordPress media files into folders/ categories at ease
  9. Loggedin – Limit Active Logins Set a limit for the number of active logins a subscriber/user can have
  10. WP Hide Admin Bar This plugin will help to hide admin-bar based on selected user roles. Leaky Paywall creates 'Subscriber' roles
  11. Remove Dashboard Access Limit Dashboard access to admins only, admins + editors, admins + editors + authors, or limit by specific capability

  15. Slack Notifications by dorzki Light and customizable WordPress plugin to integrate your site with Slack
  16. Related Posts by Taxonomy: Want to insert a simple related article link mid content? This plugin great for helping casual visitors stay on your site longer. Works well with Insert Post Ads or our Ad Dropper to auto-insert links or ads
  17. Frontend reset password - Let subscribers reset their passwords from the front end of your site so they don't see the default WP admin screen
  18. Popup Anything - Publishers have used this plugin to set up a login box on a pop-up.
